About Us
We started Onionsack in 2005 with a simple vision: if you can safely identify a customer from a text message you can enable transactions by text.
Our first implementation of our technology was launched for the 2006 World Cup where customers could text their bet to the UK Tote. Initially, customers needed to learn how to express their messages in a format we would understand and we quickly realised that it was our job to understand the customer no matter how they expressed themselves. So, our journey into natural language understanding had begun. Now our platform understands customer expression as they choose to express it – in multiple languages, from various countries and via multiple messaging platforms.
